  • According to "Wikipedia" - Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park is in the South Island of New Zealand near the town of Twizel. Aoraki/Mount Cook, New Zealand's highest mountain and Aoraki/Mount Cook village lie within the park. The area was gazetted as a national park in October 1953 and consists of reserves that were established as early as 1887 to protect the area's significant vegetation and landscape.

  • According to "Wikipedia" - Nugget Point is one of the most iconic landforms on the Otago coast. Located at the northern end of the Catlins coast down the road from Kaka Point, this steep headland has a lighthouse at its tip, surrounded by rocky islets (The Nuggets). The point is home to many seabirds, including penguins, gannets and spoonbills, and a large breeding colony of fur seals.

  • A couple of New Zealand sea lions sitting on the beach of Surat Bay in the Catlins. The sea lions are not dangerous, but people should take care when approaching them to close. According to "Wikipedia" - The New Zealand sea lion is probably the world's rarest sea lion and numbers around 10,000.

  • The scenic reserve of Surat Bay was named after "Surat", a sailing ship which was wrecked on these coasts in 1874.

  • Queenstown is a cool place where you can hang around for a few days or try one of its attractions, like Bungy Jumping, Paragliding, or much more. I took this photo from a hill. In the background you can see Walter Peak (1800m).

According to "Wikipedia" - The TSS Earnslaw is a 1912 Edwardian vintage twin screw steamer plying the waters of Lake Wakatipu in New Zealand. It is one of the oldest tourist attractions in Central Otago, and the only remaining commercial passenger-carrying coal-fired steamship in the southern hemisphere.
